This working group brings together scholars from across the historical sciences to understand the impact on social relationships among cattle pastoralists during times of environmental duress.

**Aims for Societal Impact:** By gaining finer-resolution on changing social structures in the past, we hope to foster deepening understanding, empathy, and advocacy, for pastoralist peoples facing climate change in the present. We hope to generate data useful for informing strategy as communities navigate shifting climatic conditions in the future.
